I am so thankful that God has lead me to where I am right now in life. I LOVE college and I LOVE Fayetteville! {My computer (Hewey) just flashed up a box saying plug me in now or he would be powering off soon! Scary} Anyways, I love every single thing about Fayetteville! I love the beautiful scenery, the lack of rednecks, the assortment of restaurants, the diversity, and of course the GORGEOUS University of Arkansas Campus and the Hogs! I am taken back everyday by Gods work.
I am also so very thankful for all of the wonderful people in my life right now. I am so happy to be rooming with my best friend Madison {and yes it has been nearly 7 months and we still are best friends}. We have made so many memories together in our 100 sq/ft room. I wish everyone could be a fly on the wall sometimes because there are some pretty hilarious things that happen in these walls. Like this.....
Like the time when we tried to roast Peeps with a hairdryer.(No candles or open flame is aloud in our dorm)
and when we got rejuvenating mask and decided to have a photo shoot
I am also thankful that Adam and I are attending the same university and get to spend so much time together! I love being able to cook at his apartment and escape nasty cafeteria food. I love going on little dates and just in general being with him everyday. We were two of the top 100 students who have attended the most sporting events this year. Out of a campus of over 23,000. We have been to football games, basketball games (men & women), baseball, volleyball, soccer (man was that confusing), swimming and diving, and last week we went to a gymnastics meet! We both got to go home last weekend to see our families! I love both of our families dearly. I wish that we could go see them more often. I am so happy to have an amazing family! I miss them everyday! But I look forward to going home to see them whenever I get a chance. I love them all so much!
This is us at the baseball game last week! So happy for warmer weather!
I am also thankful for finding a church that I enjoy attending each Sunday. Before I moved to Fayetteville I was worried about finding a church where I felt comfortable but I feel like Cross Church Fayetteville is where I am suppose to be. I was also able to get involved in a small group through the church with other college girls and several of my friends. It reminds me of my Wednesday night church group from home. I look forward to go every Thursday night! It is a nice relief and escape from the stresses of school.
Madison and I on our way to church on Sunday morning.
A few days after I moved into my dorm I met Sydney D. She is one of my best friends and I hope we remain friends forever. She is a great Christian example and the kind of friend that anyone would die to have. I feel so thankful that God crossed our paths. I feel like He strategically placed Sydney in my life for a multitude of reasons.
Sydney and I in our cute red coats at a football game!
I am also thankful for my job. I work at the HPER (the recreational facility on campus) and I absolutely love it. It is not a stressful job at all. My daily duties consist of showing up, sitting at a desk with a computer and scan patrons ID cards. So easy. A big bonus of having this job is that it is right next to my dorm and I get to work on my homework while I am at work! I basically get paid to do my homework! Its amazing!
I am also incredibly thankful that the good Lord has spared us of a brutally cold winter! I can only remember a handful of days that were really chilly. I was so sad when it snowed a couple weeks ago and the University still had classes. :( Madison and I decided we weren't in Sharp County anymore where the back roads could keep you out of school for a week. They pre-treat the roads and sidewalks here. I know...crazy right.
Old Main is even more beautiful covered in white. :)
This is just how I have been feeling the past few days. Simply thankful. Thankful for life and all the things I have going on in it right now. I hope everyone is having a fantastic week!
Thanks for reading my blog! I hope it isn't too boring and I hope you are uplifted by it. :)
Have a great day!
